8942: Aunt Jemima Goes Social.

Aunt Jemima is back. A new campaign including social media and TV spots recently broke for the iconic stereotype character. The Facebook page appears to have some issues, as “friends” are complaining about a coupon that cannot be accessed. The TV spots feature actual Aunt Jemima employees insisting they make pancakes just like folks do at home. Um, not many households have a monstrous conveyor belt mass-producing pancakes. It’s also odd to depict a Black woman proudly wearing an Aunt Jemima-labeled outfit.
