The New York Daily News published a story about Kiernan Shipka, the actress who plays Sally Draper on AMC series Mad Men. According to the piece, the 11-year-old is not allowed to watch the show. We should all be so lucky. Plus, Kiernan is spared the agony of having to see her own pathetic performances.

• Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. wants to collect unemployed Americans’ resumes in order to “put a face on the job crisis we confront.” Jackson declared, “By collecting these resumes, I hope to dramatize the shameful condition of unemployment and compel action to do something about it.” Considering the shameful, self-induced crises on his own plate—including controversy surrounding his involvement with former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and an extramarital affair—Jackson might soon be adding his own resume to the collection.

• A new study showed college students prefer receiving praise over sex and money. So does this mean they’ll accept unpaid internships if employers promise to gush over them?
