7010: Welcome Back, Wigger Woman.

Adweek announced Marian Salzman is returning to Euro RSCG to handle PR. If only she can do for the agency what she fabricates for herself. Salzman’s Website is a collection of hype about Salzman, including her continued contentions of discovering cultural gems like metrosexuals and wiggers. The self-proclaimed futurist and trendspotter remains an old school huckster.

NEW YORK In a nod to the changing role of public relations in the social-media age, Havas’ Euro RSCG has named Marian Salzman president of PR, North America, a new post at the agency.

Reporting to global CEO David Jones and Euro RSCG Life managing partner Donna Murphy, Salzman (pictured) is tasked with growing the PR offering based on the latest social-media techniques and grassroots campaigning.

Salzman succeeds Lisa Sepulveda as head of Euro RSCG’s PR business in New York, and she inherits global chores from Mary Perhach. The latter remains in the agency fold, tapped as global leader on the recently won Heineken and Heineken Light assignments. Perhach also runs Dos Equis and holds the title of chief communications officer for Euro RSCG in New York. Sepulveda has left the agency.

Salzman joins from Porter Novelli, where she was partner and CMO. She said Euro RSCG’s commitment to digital communications and “future-ready” stance makes it a good fit for her skills and experience. Salzman is well known as a trendspotter and contributes columns to media outlets, including Adweek.

Jones said: “Marian and I worked closely together in her previous stint at Euro RSCG; she was one of our real stars, generating valuable strategic insights for clients and uncovering trends that captured worldwide interest.”
